It seems like only yesterday that my babies were celebrating their first birthdays! It's such a fun age of discovery! Little Miss CA was absolutely delightful! Isn't she just beautiful? We were able to get her session in even though it rained just a few hours before.

I'm just not sure it gets any sweeter than newborns and the anticipation of new life. Meet Mr. G, who just happens to have the one of the most precious families I know. His new life is a fresh blessing to so many. And, after a very dramatic entrance into this world, doesn't he look about as peaceful as any one could?

And, here is his cousin, awaiting his arrival into this world! Expect his debut in short while!

What a Month...

Since my last post, there has been so much change in our lives. In January we lost a good friend of our family, Stevie Potts. He was someone you admired because you saw how much love he held in his heart - his family was the most important thing in his life and he was a wonderful Grandfather who will be forever missed.

Just a couple of weeks later we lost a beautiful young woman in a tragic car accident, Ashley B. Peters, just shy of her 19 birthday. We hold this family close to our hearts and ask that you pray for healing for her mom Tammy, dad Wade and brother Regis. Their hearts are in such pain and we need to lift them up. And, finally, on February 15, my grandfather, better known as Pa, died. He had been struggling with Congestive Heart Failure and his body finally lost its battle. I can't put into words how much I loved this man. Such a person of respect and love, he has taught me so much. I miss him so.

And, a picture that makes me smile. It represents hope and renewal, something I think we all can use from time to time.

Any extra orders that need to be purchased for Christmas MUST be in by Monday December 17 at 10:00am. That is the final deadline!

Jewelry orders - please keep your fingers crossed! All the jewelry is made in Oklahoma, and if you watched any news lately, you know that the weather there is simply terrible. They are working under awful circumstances to get everyone's orders out and shipped this next week. The snow and ice has caused power outages and dangerous conditions - keep them in your prayers too. I will go ahead and make cards for every jewelry order so that you won't be empty-handed at Christmas.

I had a great opportunity to spend some time with beautiful Ms. A and her wonderful mother. She is such a natural beauty and incredibly poised - it makes my job so much easier! This was such a great session. Enjoy girls and I should have the rest finished shortly!

Simply Stunning

This is one of my favorite sessions to date. There are a couple of these that are stop you in your tracks kind of gorgeous! I am in love with this session and want to hang some of these in my own house!!

Both Ms. P and Ms. R are adorable and fun. We had such a fun time together!

I also think this is the perfect opportunity to stress how important clothing choice is in the overall outcome of your portrait session. These little girls are dressed perfectly! It makes my day when I arrive on a location and discover such wonderful outfits. No, clothing doesn't make the portrait, but it definitely will affect the feeling your session will take. Bold, yet simple textures work extremely well, as do complimentary tones. Keep in mind skin and hair colors when choosing outfits also - it all plays together. I'm always here for suggestions!

And, thank you girls for a great time!

These ornaments are just beautiful! I've been on the lookout for the perfect holiday ornament to offer you - simple, yet elegant, but also one that doesn't overpower the picture it contains. Let me know if this is something you want to add in on your order. These are wonderful keepsakes and gifts. I can't think of a better way to decorate for Christmas!

The photo is sealed with lead-free solder between two pieces of thick glass. Choose from 2x3 beveled glass, flat glass or beveled circle design. It will be personalized with a silver tag with a name or the year. Unless you specify otherwise, I will convert your photo to black and white for best results.

The back paper will coordinate with your ribbon choice: green polka dot, red polka dot, red/white polka dot, cream, or traditional plaid.

Well, I finally took the time to do this and it's up and running! I never knew my photography journey would take me the places it has, but, alas here we are! My first post will be about our summer of sunflowers. Ryan was sweet enough to plant our entire front field in beautiful yellow sunflowers! It was family effort and worth every moment of it!
